Default Heather Harlan

I don't like Heather Harlan. The reason is that she wasn't born yet at the time of Tony Randall's first sitcom, Mr. Peepers. Harlan was born the same year the Odd Couple debuted on ABC. She was 6 at the time of The Tony Randall Show's debut, and 11 at the time Love, Sidney went on the air. Could she have watched the Odd Couple on its original network if she were a baby or preschooler? She could have at least pretended to be over 60 when she was with Mr. Randall. The obiturary claimed that she was an old-fashioned girl and wished she was 2 1/2 times her age. I'm 79 and I'm married to a woman who's 43 and have two kids at the ages of 21 and 14. I couldn't have wished for a better trophy wife.

I never would've guessed that you're 79, I'm 44 and you're 16 years older than my father.

And this makes you different from Tony Randall how?

Aside from the fact that he was a talented actor and beloved media personality who's death was mourned by the entertainment industry and multi generations of fans, of course.

Let me answer.

Tony Randall had class. And he didn't go around describing his wife as a "trophy wife".

I would like to confess. My wife isn't 43, she's actually 78 years old and we married in 1951. We actually have six children who were born between 1953 and 1967, about 20 grandchildren born between 1979 and 2000 and we are planning to have our first great-granchild in 2010. I made up that lie so I would pretend to be in a May-December relationship, which I despise very much because those kind of marriages would ruin and mix-up certain generations.
