I've put this in alphabetical order. I've only included sitcoms in this list (so Monk, which is more of a dramedy, couldn't make the list).

Shows from 1982-2008 are included. And while this is an opinion list, it seems really official.

^^^These are all the ones that I've seen and also liked. I don't necessarily find them all hilarious ("ALF" isn't LOL funny to me, but I still love it), but they're all very enjoyable, I think. Some additions I would make are "Reba," "The Nanny," "Keeping Up Appearances," and "Family Guy."

I think Murphy Brown definitely deserves a spot on that list. Not only was it one of the most successful shows of the 90's, it was by far on the funniest.

The Nanny, too. It wasn't the most successful, but it was definitely one of the funniest! The Cosby Show, The Drew Carey Show, and Mad About You deserve a spot as well!

I'm the same way with "Wings". I like the show; it's entertaining, but I don't often LOL.

D'oh! I completely forgot about "The Simpsons"! I went by the messageboards here, and because the cartoons are seperated from the live action shows, I just forgot to check those shows. I was lucky to remember "Futurama." In fact, I'm going to edit my original post to include "The Simpsons." It'll replace "The Office."

And as for all those other shows, I had them on my list originally (except for The Nanny, which I never found funny) but because this was only 50 sitcoms, I had to shave them off the list.

And also, I'm not going by success. Just what's funny to me. I mean "Andy Richter" only made 19 episodes, but I think it's one of the funniest sitcoms of all-time.

I was quite surprised that Empty Nest, Family Matters, and even Gimme a Break! of all shows made the list.
