Default I Love Lucy leaving TV Land

Record any shows you want. TV land says the contract for I Love Lucy is up the end of this year and it'll be gone. TV Land has been moving in a different direction for a while.

The show is moving to Hallmark come January 2009.

Besides, with the entire series out on DVD, I don't have to depend on TV Land (or any other channel) to give me my Lucy fix!

TV Land sucks anyway anymore. Without Lucy all the shows from the 50s will soon be a distant memory.

I have my boxset so it doesn't affect me. I also have two local channels that air enough Lucy repeats that what TVland does or doesn't do, does not affect me at all.

I feel for those who can't afford DVD's and don't get Lucy on any other channel.

For the same price as cable, you get at least 2 DVD sets a month, if you really want it bad enough Besides, with cable going further and further into the deep recesses of "reality" TV, one is better off investing in DVDs so you can watch what you want at any time!

TV Land has been going down the toilet for some time now. They need to change the name of their network to reflect the MAJOR changes in their programming. I am a huge fan of Lucy and I gladly paid the $175 to buy the entire series on DVD awhile back. Many classic shows are being eclipsed now by these horrific reality shows that some pimply-faced 20-something TV executive conjures up. It is worth the investment because the way television is going, Lucy could be a thing of the past. Can you find "The Lucy Show" or "Here's Lucy" anywhere these days? Expect the same fate for "I Love Lucy" in the not far off future.

i haven't seen i love lucy on tvland for a while. it used to be on many times throughout the day, but i haven't seen it on for a long time. it's okay though, because i've got the dvds & fox has been playing i love lucy at a regular time since i was little & in elementary school! lol.

but i'll keep an eye out for the show when it comes to hallmark.

I can't believe reality TV is still so popular! I can remember watching the very first Survivor way way back and thinking reality shows were just going to be a phase. Who knew? As for the Lucy Show and Here's Lucy, I don't think I've seen an episode of either of those on TV since I was a kid. I've got some on tape, but I'm sure there are loads of episodes I've never even seen.

i saw a commercial on tvland yesterday for a reality show! it's pretty much america's next top model, but with women who are over 35. reality shows do not belong on tvland!

As far as I'm concerned, TV Land may as well go off the air entirely. It's bad enough channels that are supposed to be music channels play nothing but reality shows, but a station that's supposed to be the home of classic TV shows? What's next, is AMC gonna start showing new movies? And to think I was actually excited when my cable company started offering TV Land for free...

I can think of some better ones, but I'm not trying to get banned!
