He's the ex-cop that went con that lured this poor lady into a motel room under the pretense that she was getting her make-up done to be in a movie or TV show and rapes her. He then fled and was caught in 1998 per the UM segment, but I wonder if he got a short sentence and is out again.

Well, he had two parole hearings according to the Nevada Department of Corrections site . Last one in 2005. Regardless, from the website, looks like he is eligible for release on May 8, 2010. He will probably appeal this year or next though. He is 62 yrs old. He had 10 other aliases besides Max Carson.

He had a parole hearing in 2008 too. However he is not getting released anytime soon. He got a 20 year sentence for attempted sexual assault, even if he is paroled from that sentence on May 14th, 2010 he still has a 6 year sentence for coercion that has to be served consecutively so it will be probably another 3 or 4 years before he goes anywhere. It is unclear whether he will be paroled on May 14th or whether that is just another parole hearing he is having? Wood is in the same prison as O.J. and in the same medium security unit too. They are both in the Lovelock in northern Nevada.

As of 12/10/2022, he is still incarcerated in the Ohio Department of Rehabilitation and Corrections. He has had several parole hearings and his mandatory release date is something like 2038 (I'm still looking for where I read that).

I think this is him:
https://appgateway.drc.ohio.gov/Offe...etails/A152152 If so, it looks like he's up for parole in 2024. |

That case is nearly 50 years old and it's doubtful the court clerk would have that docket number file available. The records would probably be in storage, possibly in Columbus. I would start with the clerk for the Court of Common Pleas in Lucas County and see if they have a process to get a copy of that docket. There is likely a formal request process to go through.

Very helpful.
I was able to use the Docket CR736001 you found and enter it into an online query tool but it times out. https://www.co.lucas.oh.us/99/Dockets-Online I'll call the office next week. Phone: (419) 213-4484 Now switching to Nevada. Any idea how I'd find to find the Nevada convictions? |

I don't know specifically for Nevada (I used to work in the probation office in Cincinnati, Ohio and had some familiarity with their system).
I would start with the felony court for the Nevada jurisdiction...which I believe was in Las Vegas, Clark County? Check the website for the clerk's office, or just give them a call and they can probably tell you the process for getting copies of these records. Most courts are split between felony and misdemeanor, so make sure you find the right one. |

Thank you.
FYI: Got this response from Toledo Police Department this morning: We do not have records from 1973 on file. Record retention is 15 years for anything other than Homicide. Toledo Police Department Public Records Office 525 N. Erie St. Toledo, OH 43604 tpdprr@toledo.oh.gov |
