Default Anyone ever have kidney stones?

i spent all afternoon and most of tonight in the hospital they diagnosed me with kidney stones anyone here ever have them?. they are a real mood killer

Yes, and it was the worst pain i've had in my entire life. I've been to the ER 3 times in the past with kidney stones. And the bad thing is, I haven't passed it yet. So it can hit me again soon. I wish you good luck with yours.

I had the first one EVER in my life about 3 weeks ago. It only lasted a day and it quickly dissolved on it's own but not before causing me the worst pain I've ever felt in my life. I was given vicodin and even that didn't take the pain away...didn't even take the edge off.
I was yelling; "forget the useless pain killers...numb me up! Give me an epidural!" I figured if it blocks the pain for women in labor...
Yeah, apparently that's not an option for a kidney stone

The only thing that helped me in any way - was walking. As soon as I'd stop or lay down the pain would become unbearable but walking helped to ease it up a little.

I hope you start feeling better soon!

thank you so much and i sure know what you mean about the unbearable pian when you lay down before i went in yesterday afternoon i tried everything laying down hot baths nothing helped so thats why i went in they gave me vicodin and iot seemes to be helping somewhat im glad that yours dissolved on its own
