I was cleaning my DVD cases (((admits to being a clean freak
))) and I noticed on the DVD box and the actual DVD it says; A Little Man Who Wasn't There...yet when you watch the episode the name is Little Man Who Wasn't There. Which is it? Is Little Man Who Wasn't There the name given to the episode on the 50's? Or did MPI name them and just make a typo?

This is one of those episode titles that varies so much that it's hard to tell what the official name actually is. A similar title would be "Manager Of The Baseball Team," which has also been labeled as "Manager Of A Baseball Team." This minor variation has led people to believe that the A/The thing actually matters when trying to tell the difference between the 1953 and 1957 versions, but that's not anything official...like, say, for example, how "What's Her Name" and "What's The Name" were labeled differently on purpose. I've also actually seen "(A) Little Man Who Wasn't There" labeled as "The Little Man Who Wasn't There," most notably in John's "To The Moon" book, so go figure...

I've always wondered if these were the actual script titles for the sketches or if the titles were created in 1984 when the Lost Episodes were prepared for release. |

"Jellybeans" is listed as "The Jar of Jellybeans" "Glow Worm Cleaning" is listed as "Glow Worm Cleansing Powder" "What's Her Name" is listed as "What's Her Name Again?" "New Year's Eve Party" is listed as "New Year's Eve Party with the Dorseys" "Cottage For Sale" is listed as "Cottage For Four" And so on and so forth...if I had to take a guess, I'd say these were the titles originally listed in TV Guide. |
