Default pink eye

i got back from the doctor a few hours ago and find out i have pink eye with an infected ear. that sux! if i'm not itchy, i'm in pain. has anybody had pink eye or an infection in the ear? the doc gave me drops for both. one i have to take 3 times a day and one twice a day for a week. on top of that, i have to keep on babysitting my little cousins whose ages are (2 and 3 1/2). this coming up week should interesting. lol.

Never had pink eye but ear infections were a nightmare for me as a child! From ages 1-12 I literally had an ear infection (sometimes two) every year. I was a 24/7 swimmer lol so that contributed to most of it. The thing that always helped me was laying down with the infected ear(s) on a heating pad for as long as it's comfortable. You don't want it hot just nice and warm. Also, when you put in the ear drops make sure to massage them in for about 5 minutes...it not only helps the medicine get in faster but it helps relieve some of that pressure.

I'm so glad I out grew that...it's been almost 8 years since my last ear infection.

I hope you feel better soon! I know how painful ear infections can be!

ear infections & pink eye at the same time are horrible. i haven't had an ear infection for so long, so i can't really remember what my mom would do. but take lots of medicine and try to get some rest (put a movie on for your cousins so you won't be running around too much).

pink eye is annoying. i've had a couple of eye infections recently. but as long as you take the eye drops the doc gave you, it should clear up in a day or two.

hope you feel better!

I've never had pink eye, but have had several ear infections, so I somewhat know what you're going through, Brandon. I'll say a prayer for your healing.

I don't know if this is true or not, but I've heard that pink eye is is easily transfered from one person to another. I maybe wrong, but be carefull around your cousins.

you're right. pink eye is contagious the first couple of days, so be careful brandon. once the eye is no longer red & inflamed, it's not contagious. hope you're doing better!
