Default Office Season Finale Ratings

http://tvbythenumbers.com/2008/05/16...a-and-csi/3794

8.07 million and 4.1/10 in the demo. Up from last week's episode which had 7.22 million. It did better than the season 3 finale which had about 7.9 million viewers.

...So, what did you guys think about the finale?

I think NBC should move "The Office" so it's not against "CSI" and "Grey's Anatomy" - it could seriously be one of their highest rated shows, I think (of course that's not saying much for NBC).

I LOVED the season finale even though it left so many questions - the only storyline I didn't like was the Jan thing, that seemed a little soap opera-ish. I loved the new HR stories with both Michael and Kevin, I love that there is more tension with Jim and Pam because they are the best when there is an uncertainity. I loved the very ending and was not expecting it. I think people have too high of expectations for "The Office" which is why the 4th season has been maligned... I think in time we will see that it was another fantastic (if sadly shortened) season

I agree that the show would do better if it wasn't against Grey's and CSI but it has established an audience and it might suffer from being shuffled around in the schedule. If it wasn't against those shows it would probably average about 10 million viewers.

I also loved the season finale. The Kevin/Holly storyline was the funniest thing I've seen on the show in awhile. Michael's exit interview and 'gift' to Toby were also amazing.

Jan being pregnant has potential to be funny but I felt that it was more sad than anything. I really feel for Michael and he finally found a woman he can connect with, Holly, and then Jan comes and stands in his way. I'm interested to see how this plays out next season (my guess is that Jan is lying and the baby is actually Michael's).

The proposal from Andy was perfect, funny, and surprising. I'm a bit disappointed that Jim and Pam didn't get engaged but I think that they'll continue to maintain a strong relationship. I didn't like seeing how sad Pam was at the end, though. I do think it is great that she is FINALLY and seriously persuing her art career (I think we can thank Jim for that). The Dwangela scene at the end was great, a perfect cliffhanger (Phyllis will be scarred for life). We'll probably see Dunder Mifflin face hard times over the Ryan scandal. Wouldn't it be awesome if Rashida Jones (Karen) came back to the show and took over Ryan's corporate position? Has her show "Unhitched" been renewed yet?

This was definitely my favorite episode of season 4 (tied with Dinner Party...and Chair Model).

I think that is a good point about it being shuffled around the schedule but it's just too bad that the three networks have three of their most popular shows at the same time

I LOVE the idea of Karen coming back and I don't think "Unhitched" is coming back

It was probably tied for my second favorite of the season with "Chair Model." My FAVORITE this season was "The Deposition"
