There is a case that is similar to the Dan Short case

but I'm not sure if it was featured on UM or not. I remember seeing it on FBI Files or something on Discovery quite a few years ago. The details that I remember are that there were two or three killers that I believe as a motive, robbed this couple or family. Then to cover up the robbery, tied them up, placed them in duffel bags or sleeping bags, and tossed them alive in a pond or creek of some kind. They were caught a few years later. I think this happened in the south somewhere. Does anyone remember it?

Unless you're thinking of Oba Chandler (who is now on Florida's death row for killing Joan 'Jo' Rogers and her daughters Michelle and Christie), the description you gave doesn't sound like anything that was on UM. No, definitely not Oba Chandler. This was somewhere in the mid-south like Alabama or Tennessee, I think. I looked at episode synopses of FBI Files and Broken Trust sounds like the episode because the perps were also brothers that robbed people and killed them. This case was shockingly similar in nature to the Dan Short case, but different suspects.

More than likely, that case was never featured on UM. It just doesn't sound familiar. But I thought there was a remote chance that you were referring to Oba Chandler, since the degenerate finalized the deaths of Joan Rogers and her daughters by throwing them in the water. Also, the triple murder occurred in the south (namely Florida).

Of course, there were some differences between the Oba Chandler case and the one you described: Evidently, Oba Chandler was the loan killer and robbery was obviously not a motive.
