What a load of crap Mr. Reilly is trying to sell us. The only way for a show to develop a strong following is to put it on the air. Audiences have a very hard time finding and then following any show that bounces around the schedule like a tennis ball. While it is true that the strike hurt many shows it probably took a bigger toll on the new ones. That being the case, if there was genuine interest in having Back to You become a success, the scheduling would have been more consistent. When Mr. Reilly arrived at FOX, he was never present at a single taping. You can't very well assess the strengths or weaknesses of a show if you are not actually involved. The fix was in from very early on and to pretend otherwise is disingenuous and remarkably distasteful. At least admit the show was never your cup of tea, that you wouldn't have bought it yourself and that your discernible contempt for the show was apparent from the very beginning. You still offer no valid reason to remove this show from the schedule, as last nights numbers once again show that Back to You was building and acquiring an audience (up one million households from its lead in). The only explanation is a small one from an even smaller mind.

Yeah, I definitely agree with you on this one. FOX is giving us nothing but excuses when it comes to cancelling this show. We all know this show is one of the most (if not the) most expensive sitcom on television, but FOX knew that, and so did everyone on the show. Yet, FOX picked it up anyway (which shouldn't have happened to begin with), they never said a word about cutting costs, and they cancelled it about a week ago. It's a shame - I guess FOX just couldn't keep up.
