Default Our Circle Of Friends

Our Circle Of Friends

Starring an all-star cast of six married adults who are on the real-life rollarcoaster called life. This Cleveland-based sitcom revolves around the Parkers, the Woodmans, and the Lawlers. Scott and Emily Parker (Mark Moses, Dana Delany)'s 22-year-old marriage hasn't always been peachy, but they now have recently got their marriage back on track after years of being on the verge of divorce-due to both having adulturous affairs with other people. Scott is an advertising executive at an advertising firm, Emily is a formerly famous "one-hit wonder" book author who has now opened up her own bookstore - Emily's Books. Scott and Emily have a set of twin high school seniors, Leah and Sean Parker (Emma Stone, Thomas Dekker). Both, Leah and Sean are part of the "popular" kids at their high school. Leah is a semi-rebellious, cigarette-smoking party girl, and Sean is "the star of the varsity basketball team" who lets his status go right to head as he can come off arrogant, cocky, and a ladies man. Scott and Emily's longtime friends, the Woodmans - Dave and Paula (Bryan Cranston, Patricia Heaton) are longtime happily married parents of three children- Rachel (Alexa Vega), Ben (Connor Paolo), and Katie (Marlene Lawston). Dave is a hardworking accountant/CPA, Paula is an administrative assistant at a nursing home. Rachel is a pretty high school senior, who was a tomboy all her childhood up until high school when she transformed herself and blossomed into a beautiful, headstrong young woman. Ben is a bright, sensitive high school sophomore who is struggling with his own insecurities and confusion about his sexuality. Katie is a smart beyond her years, golden-hearted fifth grader. The third couple in the group of friends with the Parkers and Woodmans are Tom and Jody Lawler (Tate Donovan, Julia Louis-Dreyfus), the resident yuppie couple who have no children of their own and heavily concentrated on their careers. Tom is a driven attorney at a prestigous law firm, and Jody is a headmistress of a prestigous private elementary school. Watch how the Parker family, the Woodman family, and the Lawler family battle their day-to-day trials and tribulations of life.

Default Episodes

Episodes

Ep1: Pilot Episode:
Scott, Emily, Tom, Jody, Dave, and Paula go out to dinner at their usual Saturday night hangout - O'Malley's. Before going out, Dave and Paula have a disagreement about whether Rachel can go to Cincinnati with friends to a concert next weekend. While at the restuarant, Tom and Jody bump into one of Tom's annoying former colleague (Cheri Oteri) who wants to arrange a dinner with them and her equally-annoying hubby. After dinner and drinks with their friends, Scott and Emily come home to a party thrown at their house by Leah and Sean (and their friends).

Ep2: Like Father, Like Son:
Ben asks his parents to make arrangements for him to be able to seek counseling with a licensed therapist, which sparks interest in his parents and worries them at the same time. Paula pushes Dave to step in and try to talk to (and reconnect with) Ben, which makes Ben and Dave feeling awkward and instead of discussing things with his son, Dave takes him to go ahead and schedule appointments with a therapist. Elsewhere, after hearing about Paula and Dave's dilemma with Ben, Emily urges Scott to have a fatherly chat with Sean, which leads to Scott walking in on Sean in his bedroom with a girl (Joy Lauren).
