Default Oprah & The Girls...

I don't know if anyone mentioned this on the boards, but I was watching the Tyra show a month or two ago & she mentioned the Facts of Life! I can't remember exactly why she did though. I think it might've been just bringing up shows with African Americans. Anyway, she mentioned Tootie for a little and moved on. They showed a FOL picture too. It was cool.

I'm watching the Oprah show right now and I'm thinking...she really needs to have the Facts of Life cast on her show! She did a special with the Cosby show & built them a replica of their set on her show. It would be very cool to see the gang on the Oprah show talking about it, how their fans have been affected by the show, and what they're up to now. Oprah can even replicate their living room. lol. Anyone else agree?

I so agree. However, Nancy doesn't seem to want to associate with anything or any reunions (am I correct?). I would love to see them all together for once without having any members missing.

Well Nancy did go out and promote the FOL DVD release so maybe she would do this. And it is Oprah, it's an honor to be on her show

If this were, say, about ten years ago, I'm sure she'd do so. However, these days she's too busy interviewing people like Tom Cruise and Miley Cyrus feeding right into that paparazzi mentality, so I strongly doubt we'll be seeing Oprah with the "FOL" girls anytime soon. The only time she'd have any classic stars is when they make the tabloids about something or make a shocking confession.

Not true. Oprah has Julia Roberts and other celebs on her show. She has some great episodes that discuss charities and the good people do. It is obvious you don't watch the show or you would know this. It isn't always abt Tom Cruise. One show with him and she is forever remembered only for that show.

Another reason Nancy didnt do the reunion is that there would've been conflicts in taping time between that and the division. So maybe since TD is over it would work

yep. the majority of her shows nowadays are about people who are donating themselves to something they believe in or other current events. they did an episode on lives of polygamist wives. one on the life of a hoarder. and since the cosby show was on her show recently, i don't see why fol can't be on it. they were both popular 80s sitcoms. maybe if season 4 ever gets released, they could go on oprah and try to promote it. and hopefully nancy can be there as well. though td is no longer being taped, like jo/blair fan said, hopefully she would be willing to get together for a mini reunion.

Well since she did a "Where are they now" segment with Lisa and Mindy, hopefully one day she can do one with Nancy and Kim.
