Question Do you think 'Back To You' will get RENEWED?

I think the show will get renewed. Like the majority of freshmen shows, there have been a few bumps along the way, the Writer's Strike, notwithstanding. Let's call that bump a mountain. I feel that the show is very funny with sharp dialog and has that camera thing going on that I have no idea what it means, but I pretend that I do, lol.

It's got the star power in Kelsey and Patty. Fred Willard runs away with every scene he's in, and the other supporting cast members are fantastic as well. There's a lot of talent behind the scenes with that trio of Levitan, Lloyd and Burrows (I resisted the urge to use the overused word, 'pedigree', lol). I think that FOX has a lot invested in the show, has faith in the show and will give it the GREEN LIGHT for a second season!

So, please cast your votes for your PREDICTION, not your wish.

In the meantime, pass the popcorn, crack open something refreshing because we still have a bit of a wait before anything is official.

I voted for other. I really am 50/50 on this. While I do think FOX has BTY's back, why haven't they been immediate with their answer? I think it will be renewed, BUT with a short leash for next season.

I definitely think it will be renewed by FOX, just not for a full second season. Maybe they'll renew it for a half-season order, see how it does. It's still hard to call. Ratings haven't been the greatest since it returned from the strike, but I still think it will get renewed in someway.

If it doesn't get renewed, I'm sure one of the other 3 networks will try to go for it.

I also think it will get renewed, but probably not a full season pick up yet. They also might leave it as a mid season replacement back up.

"Connor" had been considered a shoo-in for a renewal, along with Fox's freshman comedy "Back to You," which has yet to be picked up. - Hollywood Reporter

Sadly I've learned with Studio 60, amazing smart shows dont always get a shot! I really hope this isn't the case. At least we're already sure we're getting 4 episodes in the Fall which is a good sign that FOX isn't ready to give up! If it does well in the fall those four weeks, we'll probably get an immediate 18 episode pick-up to air start through January-May 2009.

Of course its going to get renewed. Fox gave Til Death and War At Home full second seasons and this show is 100 times better than those two. Have confidence.

Lately it has been doing MUCH better than 'Til Death, which preceedes it. Also, it has been doing better than many other sitcoms on other networks (My Name Is Earl, Scrubs, The Office, 30 Rock). Yeah, it'll be back.

This is a top drawer sitcom...

You have a good point. The only reason Til Death was renewed, though, was because it got a huge jump from its last few airings of the season after Idol, and to be paired up with Back to You.

Back to You is managing more than My Name is Earl, which is supposed to be their top sitcom, after The Office, which is only doing a little better. Very good point!

Another interesting note, is they are still sending their stars like Heaton, Grammer and Willard to do tv and web interviews. If the network really had no plans of renewing the show, why would they still plug it?

I think it will be renewed. It's a great show. It's funny and enjoyable. It would be a shame if they cancel it.

Another great point - why won't they just renew it already?
