Canadian Sitcom Runs Out of 'Gas' - Sitcoms Online Message Boards

Corner Gas is pumped out. The hit Canadian sitcom that made it okay to use the words "hit," "Canadian" and "sitcom" in the same sentence un-ironically is ending after this season. Star Brent Butt says he decided to end the show now that Americans have discovered it because . . . hey, that's funny. Besides, with the price of gas the show would have to be rewritten to make Butt's character a millionaire.

I need to get this show on DVD. They don't have it in any of the stores anywhere. Amazon has them.

This show is funny as hell.

Too bad no more seasons are coming our way.

At least they're going out on top - and there are very few shows you can say that about.

For sure Monika. If this sitcom aired on one of the major networks such as ABC, it would sure bring back more sitcoms our way. This show is the BOMB!!!!
