Default Did it bother anyone else???

When they brought in regular male characters? It bothered the heck out of me, because the whole idea behind this show was to feature a prominent all-female cast. As soon as they roped in George Clooney and McKenzie Astin, it ruined the inegrity of the show. There were, and still are, entirely too many all-male shows on TV, and this was one of the first all-female shows, that featured strong, independent women who didn't need men to get by in life. But by the later seasons, the girls got involved in serious relationships, got married...that for me really ruined the idea behind this show. They should have just had occasional boyfriends here and there. But the idea of Tootie and Jo getting hitched to dumb men at such an early age gave young girls the wrong idea. The four girls should have stuck together and never gotten involved with men.

Two male characters were added to the show. If you are a fan of the show you would definitely know abt George Clooney being added to the show for a while as well as the young actor, Mackenzie Astin.

i didn't mind it as much. firstly, george clooney was cute. lol. but i think the show needed some new characters & the guys gave something new to the show. andy was always hilarious with the way he interacted with the girls. i can see what you're saying about the show centering around the girls though. but i don't think the show ever lost that; the girls & mrs. g/beverly ann were still the main focus.

now, pippa on the other hand...i didn't like so much. lol.

I totally agree about Pippa. I could not stand her. She was not necessary to the show at all!!!

I really liked George Clooney on the show. I always wanted George and Jo to end up together, but he ran off with Cinnamon and she married Rick (another annoying characater in my opinion.)

As for Mackenzie Astin, I thought he was an odd addition because it seemed strange to have this preteen boy hanging around all the time, but I did like him and after Bev adopted him he seemed to fit right in like one of the family.

Well, some other characters didn't quite mesh--like Kelly or Kevin. Neither of them lasted a season.

Pippa was not needed at all. I couldn't stand the character.

seriously! out of all of the characters, she was the worst one. i never understood why she was there to begin with. i know the writers were trying to get back to high school girls since the girls had all grown up. but they were trying way too hard & pippa was just plain annoying. i remember in the series finale, pippa was in a photo they took, but not natalie. that was really annoying.

Pippa I could bare. But why they felt they needed testoterone is beyond me! I, for one, wish there was less testosterone in the world.

Don't even get me started on the finale...UGH! How could such a great show have such an horrid finale??? It barely focused on any of the actual cast...and I know it was a spin-off attempt, but to ignore the main characters in a finale is ridiculous. That end shot without Natalie made me furious!

I can understand the feeling of men being on a show where it started out all females. I never found the addition of George annoying. Mackenzie...a tad bit annoying but not so annoying like many other kids who are brought onto a show to save it. Pippa was that annoying kid.
