Can't remember 60's sitcom name - Sitcoms Online Message Boards

I'm trying to come up with the name of a sitcom I remember from the early to mid sixties. The plot was sort of a "Superman" type. The main character led a plain existance untill a problem arose. Then an English gentleman (famous actor, wore a derby, always well dressed) would bring him three pills in a small box. The 2 smaller ones lasted 15 minutes each, the larger lasted for an hour. He would take the pill and go about on his somewhat bumbling mission.

I think the show only lasted a little while. I remember that it was on the same night as "The Andy Griffith Show", but on a different network.

There was also a similar show in the same era with a guy who drank a small bottle of "Superman" type liquid. If you know of it, please respond also.

Your replies are essential, as my family thinks I'm nuts, dilusional, etc. No one else seems to remember either of these shows.
