Does anyone think this new version will be better than the original?

Very doubtful...although the original deteriorated as the seasons went on. The HS years are my favorites.

I remember watching the show and thinking to myself..... this does not represent todays youth (back then) Rap music was beginning to influence the youth of that time frame and I just don't remember seeing much of that in the show. I also believe that it lost it's attraction somewhat by the end of the 3rd season.

BH still does not represent youth of today. In general, those kids (with the exception of Brenda and Brandon) were born in Beverly Hills, had cars given to them, they wore the best of clothes, etc. BH represents a certain group of youths but not a majority of them. With this new BH in the works, I think it will look a lot like the junk that is now shown on MTV such as The Hills.
You will see more sex and more skin and God knows what else. BH was tame looking back on it.

It's just too bad that Fox didn't pick up the pilot. For the sake of keeping it close to the original they should have picked it up.

Anyone know what possessed them to do another 90210? Is it an "adult" version of the original, meaning that the original cast would now be parents to high schoolers, or what? Just curious. Andrea |
