E! confirms Mariah marries Nick Cannon - Sitcoms Online Message Boards

Mariah Carey and Nick Cannon aren't just dreamlovers anymore.

Family member Linda Cannon has confirmed to E! News that the couple are, in fact, married.

"Yes, we know," she tells E! "He called us and told us all about it. We are happy for him. If that is what he wants then we are happy for him."

Linda Cannon wouldn't confirm an earlier report that had the impromptu nuptials taking place yesterday at Carey's new home in the Bahamas, only that Nick and his platinum-selling girlfriend have made it official.

I’m not going to give you any details, but we are happy for him."

Earlier today, a rep for jeweler Jacob & Co. confirmed that Cannon shelled out $2.5 million for the 17-carat finger candy spotted recently on Carey's left hand.

This is the second trip down the aisle for Carey, 39. She split from recording industry honcho Tommy Mottola in 1998 after five years of marriage.

Cannon, 27, was previously engaged to model Selita Ebanks, but this is his first time taking the plunge.

Hmmmm... That's interesting. In the Mariah thread we talked about a few days ago, she didn't sound at all like she was interested in marriage.

It seems like everytime she reaches a career milestone she does something wacky. I love her though.

the age thing is another issue; likewise nick is the same age as me, but if those two love each other, then who am i to argue? however, i hope it doesn't turn into a farce, just like with gary coleman's marriage

Admitedly, I'm not up with all the lastest Hollyweird stuff, but I didn't even know that Mariah was so serious with anyone. Best of luck to them.

His character's name is Bernard. I didn't think I'd like Roll Bounce when I first saw it, but I really enjoyed it.

Same here. My boyfriend was watching it and I was just rolling my eyes thinking it was just another dumb movie. Lo and behold I hear this great music coming from the living room and it was the roller skating contest scene that had just started.
