I don't see why not. Medicine has improved exponentially over the past 100 years.

I never thought that. I always felt that if I didn't get old, it would be because there was something going on during my youth that I feared would kill me before I became an adult.

I hope to get old and eventually die a peaceful death. I would hate to live so long that I outlive my loved ones.

Growing up is mandatory. Growing old is optional.

Honestly, I'd love to live to an old age. I'd love to grow old with someone. But I don't think it will happen. I know, I'm young and should see myself as invincible... but I don't have much hope for the future of society.

However, I will say it again. I would love to grow old with someone.

I hope when I die it's peaceful too. I've watched too many loved ones suffer with illness before they passed.

I've seen people live into their 100's and while that's great for them...I wouldn't want that! To outlive my family, friends, future hubby and possibly my children? No thanks..I couldn't handle that. I want to live to be an old lady but not that old and definitely not forever.

i try not to think too ahead about my future. besides, i don't like discussing negative things like death. it's so depressing. yes we will all die at some point, but by dwelling on it is too much- its not good for the mind, body or soul. there are far more important things to think about; like our loved ones, friends, family, about the life we have already today. we should take it one step at a time though

Unfortuneately, I don't think I'm immortal. I'm only twentythree years old, turning twentyfour in June, but I'm also really overweight, so I'm already affraid of getting diabetes or a heart condition and then die. I know a lot of you now think "So lose weight then!", but it's not so easy.

Ever since my Mom died and my Dad has had poor health I've thought about death a lot. I've lost a family member every few years since 1988 so that doesn't help either. When you're young you think you'll live forever but by the time you reach your 40's reality sets it...especially when you start getting aches and pains all the time.

ditto. losing weight is a lot easier said than done, unfortunately.

i too would like to live a nice & long life, but i definitely do not want to live to be 100. i volunteer at a hospital and there is a volunteer who is 99 years old and he is still running around doing errands! he is amazing. i don't think i would ever want to live to be that old though. and i agree with everyone; i would want to die in as peaceful of a way as possible.

i've never really enjoyed living or being in this world. since i was about eight years old i've had a desire to die tragically. i'd gladly give up several decades of a normal lifespan. hell, i think five more years of life is enough.

Yeah and who wants to end up alone in a nursing home? I sure don't. Almost everytime you see on the news abt someone celebrating a 100th b-day, they are alone in a nursing home.

I don't think death is negative. It's just the beginning of a whole new adventure.
