what are some weird Idol "coincidences" or "curses"? the talk in the results show discussion thread INSPIRED me to make this thread lol.
the ones i can think of: -In Seasons 1-5, the person who performed second on top 5 night was always eliminated that week. However, the curse was broken this year as David Cook performed 2nd and was safe. (there was no top 5 night in Season 6 due to the double elimination on top 6 week.) -In Seasons 1-5, the person to perform first on top 3 night was always eliminated. However, the curse was broken last year, as Jordin Sparks performed first on top 3 night, made the finale, and won. -Every year except for Season 2, the person to perform last on the final performance night has won. -In Seasons 4-6, the last two contestants to be told they were through to the top 24 were always the last eliminated before the top 12. However, the curse was broken this year as Joanne Borgella and Corton Berry were the last to be told they were through to the top 24 and both were eliminated the first week. -Everyone who has sang "Love Will Lead You Back" has been voted off after singing it. -Until Blake Lewis sang it last year, everyone to sing "You Keep Me Hangin' On" was voted off after singing it. all of them have been broken though cept the finale one, and that one SORT of has

Those are good ones?
Was Blake second? 'Another one In season 4 and 5, the contestant that sang Bohemian Rhapsody/ got voted off after two weeks, also being their first time in the bottom 3 Same thing happened with Michael Johns, only he sang different Queen songs, still got voted off two weeks later his first time in the bottom 3 In the bottom 2, most of the time, the first one standing goes I looked at past threads for top 4 shocker nights in odd numbered season. Chris and LaToya both went second on performance night

--- Some other observations: - In Season 2, 4, 5, 6, and 7, the contestant that goes first has always landed in the bottom 3. - In Season 2, 3, 4 the singer who went 3rd on Top 12 night, ended up 11th place. I could have sworn I had more...
