Default An Office Shocker for the finale!

Question: Considering the title of the Office season finale is "Goodbye, Toby," I guess it's safe to say that Paul Lieberstein is the one leaving the show. — Julie

Ausiello: Kinda-sorta safe, anyway. But get this — that's not the twist that prompted producers to turn the set into Fort Knox. Nooo. According to several well-placed birdies, whose decision to sing to me like the proverbial canary was clearly in breach of their confidentiality agreements, there are three even bigger plot twists that will profoundly impact Angela, Dwight, Andy, Jan, Toby, Michael, Jim and Pam. I will now possibly reveal what those three twists are among (or not) the following six options (Possible Major Spoiler Alert): an engagement, a death, an infidelity, a pregnancy, a fire and a coming-out. Let the wild speculation begin!

Wow, sounds like the finale will be fun.

Jim is probably going to propose to Pam, since he has an engagement ring ready to go.

Other than that, anything is possible.

My Predictions:

Jim and Pam get engaged
Jan is pregnant (wouldn't it be funny if after learning this Michael proposes)
Angela cheats on Andy with Dwight

I highly doubt that someone will die or come out (Plus both of those things have been done on the show already). Also does 'a fire' refer to an actual fire or someone being fired?

Didn't Michael have a vasectomy (or two) that would prevent that?

Or are you saying that Jan gets pregmant but it's not Michaels kid?

That would be pretty good.

Yeah he had a vasectomy then got it reversed then got another one, lol. It wouldn't really make sense for her to be pregnant with his child unless he had it reversed again. She could be pregnant with Hunter's baby and Michael thinking the child is his proposes to Jan. Very far fetched and I don't expect it to happen but we'll find out May 15!

One of Ausiello's 6 Options is Confirmed:
http://blog.zap2it.com/korbitv/2008/...fice-offs.html

It's gotta be Jan! ...or maybe Phyllis! The article says "I will say that this pregnancy has the potential to change everything. And it's also hilariously funny, too ... That is, if you find comedy in hopeless situations that are anchored in deceit and despair, as I do!"

This leads me to believe that it is NOT Pam. Why would Pam being pregnant be hilarious? Phyllis pregnant, now that's hilarious. Also I would love to see how Michael would act if Jan were pregnant. 8 More Days 'till the Finale!

Also Ryan will have a brush with the law, according to Ausiello.

I'm glad this thread was bumped up again, because I have a few new ideas after watching the last epeide again over the weekend.

I think Jim is going to either quit or be fired. There's been a lot of tension developing between him and Ryan, and after Ryan's poor performance evaluation of Jim's work, I think Jim's days are numbered.

That's not to say he won't be back at Dunder Mifflin sometime next season.

I think Ryan will be fired. After all he does have a drug problem and the Dunder Mifflin Infinity site is experiencing problems.

If Jim leaves then I will be frustrated with the writers for using an old storyline, he was already gone from Scranton for 1/3 of season 3. Plus in tonight's episode Jim, Andy, and Kevin attempt to land a big client which I'm guessing they are successful in thus securing Jim's job and angering Ryan.

Since David Wallace likes Jim, I don't think he'll be fired but he could quit. Jim does seem to want a better career though, so does Pam, yet if they took those 2 characters out of the office it would ruin the show.

Anyway I'm more interested in the pregnancy storyline and the possibility of Dwight and Angela getting back together.

Good points. You're probably right about Ryan, aside from the drug probem, he's getting too cocky anyway.
