Default My Three Sons DVD still on CBS' list

In the latest issue of Video Business, dated April 21, 2008, there is a trade ad for CBS/Paramount DVD in the TV section and among the titles promoted is My Three Sons Season One, Volume One. No firm date listed, but the mere fact that it is included in the ad is a good sign that CBS still intends to release this series on DVD!

Hopefully it's unedited episodes too since it's a bigger company.

Me too. Why would they even issue episodes on DVD if they're not uncut? They must be uncut or they're a waste of money!

Thanks, it's great to be here!

I first started watching My Three Sons when my family first got cable back in 1986. I really enjoyed the show. It's one of my favorite sitcoms of all time. I can't wait until it comes out on DVD. I heard that it will be out by September. I'm keeping my fingers crossed.

I gave up a while back and ordered the entire series online by doing a google search. It sure is nice to see the show again.

I remember watching it on CBS on saturday nights in the 60s, then I remember after it went off a station started showing the early ones on weekday afternoons. (I don't know if it was one of the networks or a local station)
Then I didn't see it again until we got cable in 1988 and I used to watch it on Nick at Nite. And, unfortunately, I haven't seen it since then. (I think I'll order it online. Even if they DO release the first season in september, I'll probably be in my 70s-I'm 50, now-by the time they release the entire series! )

This dragging the feet by the companies is really aggravating. Since this is not in active reruns, most of the fans will have died off by the time any full series release is done.

"I'll probably be in my 70s-I'm 50, now-by the time they release the entire series!" My sentiments exactly.

I said in another post that I would be dead before they got around to releasing the entire series. Especially as they seem to want to do it 1/2 season at a time. I grabbed a set from I-Offer a while back and can now watch MTS whenever I want.

I really want the black and white episodes. It sounds like it's going to be very pricey though.

I have no reason to believe anything has changed regarding breaking up the season which I hate (I thought the whole point of breaking up seasons was so the consumer could sample a series at a lower price????) anyway perhaps they have ditched the idea of breaking season 1 into 2 parts and hopefully just maybe that horrible retail over $40 price is for an entire season 1 set...otherwise does paramount/cbs have the nerve to charge over $80 retail for a single season????? this isn't "The sopranos".....I started another thread elsewhere naming MPI the best company releasing classic shows...and got lots of good natured flack proclaiming cbs/paramount the best???? well what do you defenders think now?????

oh good gravy marie!!!!!!! THAT IS FREAKING OUTRAGEOUS!!!!!!!!!
That's a good guarantee of poor sales and to justify them not releasing any more volumes.
