Wasn't that about a "fifties sitcom" family that got rescheduled or moved somehow into the nineties? If I'm not mistaken, there was a movie later made on largely the same premise.

Yes, I remember that show! It was okay, but not really a favorite of mine. At least Nick at Nite was trying to stay in line with the classic back then.

Yes, I remember Nickelodeon airing the pilot to this show in June 1999 (to celebrate their 20th anniversary), and I liked it a lot! I could definitely relate to Mike Duff for sure.

I remember this show very well - I used to watch it when it first aired in 1991. The only one who really went on to make a splash in show biz was Julie Benz, who played daughter Babs. When I saw Pleasantville, the first thing I thought of was this show!!

Great little show--I think only 12 episodes were made IIRC. Lots of great cameos from old sitcom stars.

I loved the show. I wish it lasted longer.

I remember this show. I never saw it, but I remember hearing about it and seeing promos for it on NICK AT NITE. It was on in the late 80s or early 90s. It was about a sitcom family from the 50s, whose series was cannceled and they moved next door to a 90s family where the mother was single, held down a job, raised 2 or 3 kids, etc. The 50s family was named the Neilsens, and the show was also shown on ABC. Each episode had someone from a real 50s or 60s show guest star as their character.

AJ McLean from the Backstreet Boys was on that show. I remember watching a show on VH1 "Where Are They Now?" or something to that effect and it had the Backstreet Boys on there and it mentioned AJ being on that show. I think he went by Alex then. (That is his real name: Alexander James McLean.) He had a rattail and wore a "Dance or Die" T-shirt.
