That's because Tap water has chemicals in it and some people believe that Rain water is pure and clean (which it's not), and if you use bottled spring water thats as close to "clean" water that you can get.

Aunt Sophia was a fruitcake! Thank goodness her appearances were limited to this season only (IIRC).

the only time all 3 housekeepers appeared together! Charlotte Rae made her last appearance as Mrs. Garrett on DS on that one. Where she gave Pearl the evil eye!

And that I think would be the last time we would have any connection to FOL.

There's also another ep. with both Adelaide and Aunt Sophia. That fire ep. Adelaide was just the only one not trapped in the apartment as she was walking up many flights of stairs.
