Default Greatest Character Ever Written

In my humble (yet correct) opinion the best characters ever created are:

1. Ed Norton
2. Barney Fife
3. Kramer

1 & 2 are actually tied and could be swapped with Kramer being a distant second.

Who's with me?

I'll agree with your first 2 choices but I can't put Kramer in the same class as Ed Norton and Barney Fife. These were 2 of the funniest charcters ever on tv. Kramer never did anything for me but then again Seinfeld is one of the most boring shows I've ever tried to watch.

Wow, I always thought I was alone with the Seinfeld thing! I tried to watch it a few times and just...couldn't. Not a funny show IMO.

I think Ed Norton, Ralph Kramden and Lucy Ricardo are the greatest character's ever written.

What show is Barney Fife from? I've never heard of him.
