Okay, so we all know about the auctioning off of channels 52 - 69. What does this mean for the channels in these assignments? Will they be moving?
Also, most of your local VHF channels are moving in 2009.

Um... ALL know? Can you post a link so that those of us who missed this news item can discuss it intelligently? And in the long run, isn't most so-called 'broadcast' TV obsolete anyway? Most people watch through cable or satellite at this point, don't they?

Stations chose a channel for post-transition operation within the new core spectrum for TV broadcast channels (channels 2 through 51). The remaining channels (52-69) will be reclaimed for public safety and advanced wireless services.

One more thought about what it means to us.

The 700 - 800 MHz is considered the best frequency because that wave length travels though solid objects like concrete building better than any other frequency, the cell phone industry wants to use it so you get better coverage inside thick buildings.

52 --- 699.25 MHz

69 --- 801.25 MHz
