Over the weekend, Mr. Greg Meidel, President of MyNetworkTV released a first draft of the MyNetworkTV schedule for this coming fall. MyNetworkTV is conducting their upfront in the upcoming weeks on an agency-by-agency one-on-one basis rather than the traditional press conference format used by other networks.
Interesting news to sitcomsonline members and visitors is that MyNetworkTV is planning a night of comedy on Wednesday nights. Here is the fall sked, with new shows in CAPS: Monday: 8:00 pm - Celebrity Expose (2nd season) 9:00 pm - MAGIC SECRETS Tuesday: 8:00 pm - Street Patrol (second season) 8:30 pm - Street Patrol (encore) 9:00 pm - Jail (second season) 9:30 pm - Jail (encore) Wednesday: 8:00 pm - Under One Roof (second season) 8:30 pm - TBA 9:00 pm - LIFE'S FUNNIEST MOMENTS Thursday: 8:00 pm - My Thursday Night Movie (third season) Friday: 8:00 pm - WWE SMACKDOWN Saturday: 9:00 PM - MY SATURDAY NIGHT MOVIE "MAGIC SECRETS" seems to be an umbrella series encompassing new and encore episodes of "Breaking the Magicians Code" (a special series originally run on FOX) and "Masters of Illusion: Impossible Magic" (a special series originally run on PAX several seasons back). "LIFE'S FUNNIEST MOMENTS" is a comedic clip-show that is a spinoff of three specials that have aired on MyNetworkTV this season: "Santa's Funniest Moments", "Cupid's Funniest Moments" and "Easter's Funniest Moments". "WWE SMACKDOWN" moves over from The CW in September, after having completed a seven season run on UPN and a two season run on The CW (where it is The CW's most-viewed series). "MY SATURDAY NIGHT MOVIES" will be comprised of a mix of broadcast premieres and encores. MyNetworkTV has previously cancelled "IFL Battleground", but the network did not disclose which of it's existing series have been cancelled and/or renewed for midseason, including:
In interviews surrounding the release of the fall schedule, Mr. Meidel also revealed that the network has pilots under consideration for a new sitcom and/or skit-variety series, plus a pilot for a new dramatic series. If picked up, the sitcom could be slotted into the Wednesday at 8:30 TBA slot. |

Why did CW cancel WWE Smackdown in the first place if it's their highest rated series.
I hope it does really well on MyNetworkTV. Wouldn't it be funny if this network started pulling higher ratings than the CW? |

WWE Smackdown doesn't fit CW because they are only trying to reach the teen scene... |

MyNetworkTV has filled out its Wednesday night of comedy with an 8-episode pick-up from Langley Productions of a sketch-comedy show titled "The Tony Rock Project".
The amended fall sked, with new shows in CAPS, is as follows: Monday: 8:00 pm - Celebrity Expose (2nd season) 9:00 pm - MAGIC SECRETS Tuesday: 8:00 pm - Street Patrol (second season) 8:30 pm - Street Patrol (encore) 9:00 pm - Jail (second season) 9:30 pm - Jail (encore) Wednesday: 8:00 pm - Under One Roof (second season) 8:30 pm - THE TONY ROCK PROJECT 9:00 pm - LIFE'S FUNNIEST MOMENTS Thursday: 8:00 pm - My Thursday Night Movie (third season) Friday: 8:00 pm - WWE SMACKDOWN (10th season [7 on UPN, 2 on CW, 1st on MNT] debuts October 3, 2008) Saturday: 9:00 PM - MY SATURDAY NIGHT MOVIE "MAGIC SECRETS" is an umbrella series encompassing new and encore episodes of "Breaking the Magicians Code", a series of specials that originally aired on FOX. "THE TONY ROCK PROJECT" is a sketch comedy show starring Mr. Tony Rock, the brother of Mr. Chris Rock from "Everybody Hates Chris", that will fuse reality (streeter interviews, hidden camera footage) with comic examination of race, class and power. "LIFE'S FUNNIEST MOMENTS" is a comedic clip-show that is a series out-growth of four specials that have aired on MyNetworkTV this season: "Santa's Funniest Moments", "Cupid's Funniest Moments", "Easter's Funniest Moments" and "Mother's Funniest Moments". "WWE SMACKDOWN" moves over from The CW in September, after having completed a seven season run on UPN and a two season run on The CW (where it is The CW's most-viewed series). "SATURDAY NIGHT AT THE MOVIES" will be comprised of a mix of broadcast premieres and encores. Fall theatrical titles to be broadcast on Thursday or Saturday nights include BATMAN RETURNS, DR. DOOLITTLE, EDWARD SCISSORHANDS, LETHAL WEAPON, NAPOLEON DYNAMITE, NATIONAL LAMPOON'S VACATION, MEN IN BLACK 2, and PASSENGER 57. |

How about Sunday Nights?
How about a Game Shows to? How about their own Daytime programming with rights to the Court Shows and others? Moments shows are good meaning the ones with Videos. |

I think the days of networks trying to program Daytime are gone....Fox has never attempted it, with the exception of "After Breakfast" with Tom Bergeron and NBC is almost completely out of daytime--except for airing a 4th hour of "Today" and "Days of Our Lives".

As has been widely reported over the past two days, Mr. Arsenio Hall has signed on as host for "Funniest Moments", MyNetworkTV's new You-Tubish clips show on Wednesday nights at 9 pm.
For those who want to see a preview of the look and feel of this show, there is a Father's Day-themed special version on tonight at 9 pm called "Dad's Funniest Moments". |

I'm still betting that MNTV will outlast the CW. They have much lower operating expenses I'm sure and SmackDown! will help.

In a major fall line-up change, MyNetworkTV has revised its Wednesday comedy line-up, shuffling the time period for all three series, two of which are new series.
Wednesdays will kick off with Mr. Arsenio Hall's "FUNNIEST MOMENTS" (working title), a You-Tubeish clip series at 8 pm, followed by "THE TONY ROCK PROJECT" getting the tentpole slot at 9 pm, and the sophmore season of Mr. Flavor Flav's "Under One Roof" sitcom following at 9:30 pm. Also, according to the MyNetworkTV website, the new title for Smackdown appears to be "WWE FRIDAY NIGHT". The revised MyNetworkTV fall sked is as follows (NEW SHOWS IN CAPS): Monday: 8:00 pm Celebrity Expose 9:00 pm MAGIC'S BIGGEST SECRETS REVEALED Tuesday: 8:00 pm Street Patrol 8:30 pm Street Patrol encore 9:00 pm Jail 9:30 pm Jail encore Wednesday: 8:00 pm FUNNIEST MOMENTS (WORKING TITLE) 9:00 pm THE TONY ROCK PROJECT 9:30 pm Under One Roof Thursday: 8:00 pm My Thursday Night Movie Friday: 8:00 pm WWE FRIDAY NIGHT Saturday: 8:00 pm My Saturday Night Movie |
