Default Is there anybody here who would've preferred...

the actor who played Rollo as Fred Sanford's son rather than the actor who played Lamont?

No, I think they got it right on the show. They got the right actors for Rollo and Lamont.

I just felt that Lamont was a wee bit too whiny for my tastes.

I hear what you are saying, I guess it's more of a "what if" scenario.

Ok. If Rollo was Fred's son they could have had it as the hip cool son against the old fashioned Fred G. Sanford. Rollo was one cool dude!

No. I think it was fine just the way it was. but i do think Rollo should have had more parts in the show because he and Fred was so funny working together. Can you imagine Fred having a dope smoking son. LOL They would of never had something like that in the show.

Years ago I probably would have agreed with you, but now I think they got it right on who should play the right parts. I mean, you have an uptight no personality 30-something son setting his 60- something year-old funny father up for jokes.

I think they got it right. D. Wilson was a better actor than Rollo IMO.

As for Lamont's whining, I think the shows writers ran out of reactions to Freds outrageous comments and behavior. The whining or anger he repeated were the most natural responses.
