Had a Price is Right marathon today
Watched the 1st hour ever made (although it is not the first OFFICIAL hour episode) for the 3rd Anniversary week.I noticed Anitra Ford was not in this episode. Instead we have some model named Barbara (whom I do not ever recall) and the first appearance of a then brunette Diane Parkinson. Was Anitra ill? The first wheel was an interesting design and I like the cute sound effects as it spun. One wonders why they felt the need to revamp it. Liked the fact that the original come on down music and come up on stage music was still in place ![]() I never seen these episodes because natch, I was in school and natch, who had a VCR then? ![]() This show sure was a fan of the Chevy Vega and the AMC Gremlin

I adore the original music used when contestants left the Row to go up on stage. It just screams 70s game show to me! I think they still use the song as prize music nowadays, but it's with that vintage synthesizer sound instead of the full brass sound. Either way, it's a classic TPIR song!

Glad to meet someone else who loves this music! The original come on down music (intro) is also used as a prize cue albeit, in different instrumental versions. I thought it would be cool if Drew went back to these cues, at least for a week or a month and call it Retro celebration! I also miss seeing the Keep and Give game. They could certainly update it and jazz it up
