Default Unedited Episode on BET

Hey, did anyone notice that BET ran at least the first DS in the 9 am hour unedited yesterday? It ran around 25 minutes, not including commercials...normally 22...

The whole hour appeared to run over by several minutes...so, I adjusted the DVD recorder, just in case they keep doing this!

I noticed something was up when the time read 8:32 am and the episode wasn't finished! Maybe they are running too many ads during break time.

There was a glitch in one episode, where they show Willis, Kimberly and Arnold dancing for about 5 seconds, then quickly cuts to another scene--this was the Willis baseball episode.

They were back to normal today, I believe the longer episode yesterday was just a screw up, these episodes come already in edited form from sony the distributor, (though networks have the choice which one they want, edited or not edited) they must have had an unedited version of the 9AM episode causing it to run till 9:33AM, so naturally the edited version at 9:33AM ran till 10:03......

I saw that, they were both in mid-dance mode and then all of a sudden they cut to mr. drummond talking-lol

Worst cable edit of the year-lol

for the second ep I programmed my VCR to stop recording at 10:01am and I still only got a PIECE of the closing credits-lol That was very close, i almost had a partial episode so I think now I will just program my VCR to tape ds from 8:55am to 10:05am

Better to have a cushion than incomplete eps

Mine cut off right before the closing credits. So that spoiled a 'perfect' collection...oh, well. I'm amazed they even show the credits. Most other cable channels split screen them and blare their stupid ads.

For the future try to leave room for additional commercials so you can get the full episode. Like 8:55am to 10:05am, that will gauruntee a complete episode

Yeah, you can tell those parts were edited. This seems worse than Alice when it was on ION where it was edited like crazy.

Alice/Mamas Family/ION are the WORST for editing. The episodes routinely time out at 20 minutes of program time, 1-2 minutes less than standard syndicated sitcoms.

Well, I guess I was exaggerating about BET's DS editing being worse than Alice/Mama's Family editing on ION. Guess no editing's worse than those of those 2 ION shows. LOL!
