A hidden joke on Unsolved (?!)

I was watching a snippet of the Dark Dante case this morning, and i noticed when Dante is typing answers to the questionnaire in the computer, for the question "what is your favorite song?" he puts "Star Wars".

I was wondering if this was a joke they planted. Kind of like in BASEketball, if you look real closely, they're playing computer soliatire in the background when Stack is hosting at the 'telecenter'

It's very possible this was done on purpose. I work in TV and there's always little tidbits hidden here and there, that production people like to sneak in to see if viewers are paying attention. It's worst in animation because animators are natural-born jokers. We've found phalluses or other obscenities hidden in backgrounds... on shows aimed at preschoolers. Ya. Not fun for us. We've changed animation studios in the past because someone on their staff kept pulling these stunts.

In this case, it was just a cute joke that had no incident on the details of the Dark Dante profile. Programmers and hackers are notorious jokers and pranksters, too. Programmers will sneak in cheat codes in video games to change the avatar's AI.

Apparently, when the Dark Dante seggie was featured on UM, the show's 1-800 telephone lines mysteriously crashed. Hmmmm ....

another possible inside joke: in Baseketball, Robert Stack mentions that Cooper disapppeared with only a few items, including a steamer trunk!

You mean an in-joke reference to the segment about the steamer trunk corpse? If so, there is a problem with that: although the steamer trunk murder victim (later identified as Jasper 'Jack' Watkins) was murdered in 1996, the UM segment on the case originally aired in 2001 - three years after Baseketball was released.

I suppose that famous Star Wars music, an orchestra piece written by a.....John someone......the guy has written music for many many films, anyway I guess that is the theme.

But, my favorite unofficial Star Wars song is by Bill Murray in SNL. Its an old skit from the 70's and Murray plays the part of a lounge singer at some nowhere lodge. He adds these ridiculous lyrics "Star Wars, talking about Star Wars, can't get enough of those Star Wars...." Its worth a search on the web if you havent seen it.

Anyways, thats it, I will stop talking about Star Wars and SNL now. I restate my sole fanatiscm to UM.
PS I second what the previous poster said about inside humor. I worked for a software company which produced games and this happened often. In a baseball game, one of the players was named after the lead programmers best friend.

I don't know and I could be wrong but in the 3rd Anni Special where those two girls who are now looking for one-another, were shown in their bedrooms, I thought that was a pic of a young Robert Stack on the wall?
