Lucy fans, I need your HELP! - Sitcoms Online Message Boards

Hey everyone, I am a newbie to this site. I am an elementary teacher and I had a funny thing happen to me. I had a lovely moment where some liquid soap got into my dishwasher which led to bubbles everywhere...

I thought I remembered seeing an I love Lucy episode where something similar happens. I told my students this story and I told them about the Lucy episode. I would love to find out if this is true and also which episode and perhaps which season it was from. Any information would be great!

I remember the rice exploding. I know there was a Brady Bunch episode where the bubbles exploded. I may not have been I LOVE Lucy maybe another Lucy show.

Suds all over the place was on Life with Lucy, they made fun of it at the time because the studio was photographed and it even made the news saying Lucy was up to her old tricks. LOL!

What about the washing machine episode? That one had a bunch of bubbles everywhere.

In case you're thinking of the wrong show, both the Brady Bunch and Leave it to Beaver have episodes, where the kids put too much soap in the machine, creating mountains of suds.

Ok, the washing machine show did not overflow with suds on ILL. BUT, the Life with Lucy ep did make the news because the studio was filled with suds and people thought that was funny, it made the news. Imagine driving by a studio and you see mountains of white suds and then when you ask what's that about, they tell you Lucy is just doing her usual thing, LOL!

Oh yeah, i forgot, Desi's prostitute friend BUBBLES WAS on the set that day, LOL!

Correct Splain. No bubbles at all. The machine makes a bad sound and then a steady jet of water sprays out of it with the clothing slapping everyone in the face.

I was wondering if the OP may be confusing bubbles with feathers. The ep he/she may be recalling is "Redecorating The Mertz's Apt". When Lucy stabs the chair and the feathers go everywhere. At least one making a cameo appearance in the last scene where it wasn't welcome.
