Default Jay Leno is my man but I don;t want him to joke about serious news stories

like he did last night about 80,000 people in the U.S. losing jobs in the month of March. That's a serious situation and I really don;t want someone in his situation joking about people losing jobs. Especially when it's so much other stuff to talk about

I watch Jay Leno. He is funny. I see nothing wrong with the joke at all.

yea, I don't see anything wrong with that! C'mon Solomyn, lighten up-Johnny Carson used to joke like that about unemployment.

I just feel that the news story was too serious to include in his monolugue. Just leave stories like that alone, nothing funny about 80,000 people losing jobs in march. Now of course he wasn't joking about the people who lost their jobs but still should have not touched that story

ok; I'll go with that. I can understand why you don't like it.

Like my mother used to say "everyone to their own opinion-said the woman as she kissed the cow"

and as my fathers college proffesor used to say "Well, great minds differ"!

Yeah, I don't really see anything wrong with a joke like that. If he was actually making fun of the PEOPLE that lost their jobs, that would be different. He was making fun of Spitzer - he's been doing it for weeks now.

It was nothing wrong with the punchline, i just wish he could have chose another story to make fun of spitzer.

There definitely are tons of other jokes he could have said about him-LOL. To me, the Spitzer jokes are already getting old, though.
