Default Did the Girls ever mention traveling to NYC from the school?

In any of the ep just wondering did the girls travel places on their own? I'm asking because I saw a ep of Diffrent Strokes when Natalie and Blair made a guest appearance and just wondering how would they get to manhattan all the way from the Boarding School which was not in NYC

Solomon, it was in Peekskill, NY which is about 50 minutes outside of NYC. The train can get them there in a short time. For me, it took about 30 minutes for me to get from NYC to Tarrytown, NY which is another small town out of NYC in Westchester County like Peekskill.

There were two episodes that I really liked that had the girls traveling to New York. One was when Tootie got separated from Mrs. G. and the girls and she hung out with this girl who she did not know was a prostitute. She thought she was a model.

The other was in season 3 when Jo and Blair meet up with old friends and discover they no longer have things in common with them.

Yeah, but did you realize the first time you seen the episode or during syndication?

I knew immediately the first time the episode aired because I remember Tammy from the show ANGIE. I never liked her on ANGIE and I was glad when they got rid of her. A good example of getting rid of a child actor from a show and not ADDING a child actor to a show.

I know, right? I wonder how routine it was for them to go back and forth like that. Kimberly should have been in more episodes of "Facts" than just the pilot and 1st episode. She could have appeared on the "Gossip" episode. Kimberly's commute was very common. I want to do more often to get the feel of.

You are absolutely correct! Sleepovers. Can't sleepover one's house cause parents aren't home. Doing Kimberly's makeup, helping Kim rehearse for an Eastland school play. It seemed like they were comfortable. I am guessing that the Drummonds lived around 79th st and park ave. They would have to take the nearest subway to grand central terminal and then commuter train into the New York City Suburbs of Peekskill.

I know on the reunion movie that Natalie took a taxi into Peekskill. Maybe Blair and Natalie took a cab into Manahttan. Blair is rich and could afford it. The Bus? I don't know?
