*Old Yeller. I'm an animal lover and hated when Yeller went crazy, which was the cause of his death.

*Titanic (to be fair, part of me was crying because it was too friggin' long and the ending didn't help much either)

*Cold Mountain was kinda sad. Altho, I've just seen bits and pieces, it seemed like somebody died every few seconds.

House Of Wax. When the spear goes through Paris Hilton's skull, it's the saddest moment in cinematic history

1. Imitation of Life (1959) - When Sarah Jane grabs her mother's coffin - that's it for me

I can't watch any movie with dying animals anymore. I go crazy. I got emotional when they painted Big Bird blue and stuck him in a cage in Follow That Bird.

Ladder 49; I try to avoid movies like this since my man's a firefighter and well...I just don't want to think about such things but I watched this one because John Travolta's in it. Yeah, tears, tears and more tears.

The Green Mile; Omg that entire movie had me crying!

I Am Sam; That one had some sad moments.

I Am Legend; Enjoyed the movie but could NEVER watch the part where his dog dies in his arms again. Uhh, me, my sister and my niece just couldn't handle that scene. (Will Smith did an amazing job). For some reason (even though I know it's fake) I can't handle animals dying in any movie.

Bambi; Watched that when I was 4. I still haven't recovered. Why did that bastard have to shoot Bambi's mother!

Titanic
Old Yeller
The Deep End of the Ocean
To Gillian on Her 37th Birthday
Beaches

All of these movies touched me profoundly, each dealing with a loss in some way.

Not in order...

1. Splendor in the Grass (I felt for Deanie when she broke down in tears after Bud breaks up with her and the last scene)

2. Stop Loss (Didn't want to see it at first, but friends dragged me to see. It hits to close to home)

3. Beaches (It was more of the Bette Midler song that made me cry, but watching it years later since my best friend died, makes me sob throughout the movie)

4. All Dogs Go to Heaven (It only became sadder to watch when I found out that the little girl who voiced Ann-Marie died before the movie was released.)

5. The Color Purple (the whole movie made me cry.)
6. The Little Princess

Follow that Bird was the first movie I ever saw in a theater - way back in August 1985. Grandma took me.

My pick would have to be Shadowlands - I BAWLED through it like a baby. I also cried during the Green Mile.

My aunt has the DVD and I wanted to see it, but now that I know his dog dies in his arms, I may rethink that one. I hate animal death in movies.

'Bambi' was sad. Makes me feel *almost* bad about going hunting.

Okay, if anyone repeats this, I will deny it, but one time I got a little misty eyed while watching Gump.

I didn't know this until reading your post. The little girl was murdered by her own father.

Movie

The last movie that really brought tears to my eyes was Disney's remake of
"Mighty Joe Young," starring Charlize Theron. The climactic scene when Joe
saved the child on the ferris wheel--and almost died--was very emotional, for
me.
