decided to start a "story train" for MASH. I'll start a story, and others can add on to it if they want. This is about Trapper. Lu Lu, if you see this; you might want to)


Trapper sat on his bunk in the swamp, holding a drink and dressed in his surgical scrubs. Hawkeye was laying in his, asleep and facing away from Trapper. Frank wasn't in.
Trapper took a drink, then Radar came to the door and called "Trapper"? He said "What is it, Radar? More wounded"? "No, nothing like that. Wake Hawkeye. Col. Blake wants to see the medical staff in his office". Trapper said "DOESN'T HENRY KNOW WE JUST GOT OFF 2 HOURS OF SURGERY"? Radar said "Yes, he knows, and he says he's sorry. But this is important". Trapper sighed "OK, we'll be right there". Radar walked away. Trapper got up, downed the rest of his drink, and walked over to Hawkeye. He called "HAWK"!-no response. He tried again "HAWKEYE"!! Hawkeye moaned, rolled over and opened one eye. "Korea still"? "Yep". "The war still on"? "Yep". "What's to get up for, then"? Trapper said "C'mon. Big meeting in Henrys office". Hawkeye moaned again, opened the other eye, rolled over and sat up. He said "Maybe he wants to say that we can all go back home, and this is just a big nightmare". He reached for his robe.

Meanwhile, in Henrys office, Frank and Hot Lips were already there in full uniform, of course. Trapper walked in, still in his scrubs, followed by Hawkeye, in his robe. Frank said "THE LEAST YOU COULD DO IS SHAVE"! Trapper looked at him, then at Col. Blake and said "Hey Henry, where'd you get the talking mannecuin"? Hawkeye laughed and went over to the chair under the window. Trapper walked over to Henrys liquer cabinet. Henry said "Just can it McIntyre, would you please? This is important. You too Pierce". Trapper said "OK Henry" and pulled out a bottle and 3 glasses. He brought them over to his desk, set them down, opened the bottle, and started to pour. When he was done he handed one to Henry, one to Hawkeye, and kept one for himself.
Hawkeye took a drink, then said "So, what's this all about Chief"? Henry took a drink, put it down, and said "I just got off the phone with Gen. Hammond. A nearby aid stations been hit. Bad. He wants me to send a surgeon, and a nurse. OK, any volunteers"? Noone said anything. He said "Pierce, you're OK. You're the chief surgeon, and I can't risk you. Ok, so it's between myself, Mcintyre, and...Burns". Noone said anything again. He said "OK, looks as if I'll have to pick someone". He called "RADAR? Got those casulty reports"? Radar came in as he was saying it, talking over him, and saying "Here's those reports you wanted, sir". and walked out. Henry said "Thank you, that'll be all" as Radar said "Will that be all"? Henry looked at the reports, looked up and said "OK, again-any volunteers"? Trapper finished his drink and said "I'll go". Henry said "OK, now we need a nurse. Major, which of your girls can you spare"? Hot Lips said "For something like this, I'll go myself".
