Al Roker could soon be ready to play the "Feud."
The "Today Show" weatherman has been in negotiations with FremantleMedia North America about hosting its upcoming celeb edition of "Feud" for NBC. He'd follow in the footsteps of ayem colleague Meredith Viera, who hosts the syndie version of "Who Wants to Be A Millionaire". Roker's reps have been talking to Fremantle for more than a week. However, as of late Tuesday, reps for both the Peacock and the studio insisted no deal was in place. One reason the parties might be reluctant to confirm any agreement is because Roker is said to have come tantalizingly close to toplining other projects for the Peacock over the years, only to have talks fall apart. In addition to his on-air success at "Today," Roker has built a successful Gotham-based production company that has supplied programming to numerous cable networks. Reps for the network and studio couldn't be reached for comment Wednesday. http://www.variety.com/article/VR111...goryid=14&cs=1 |

I saw Al sub-host Millionaire last year and I thought he did a good job. I certainly think he'd be a good fit on Feud. Though I'm surprised they just didn't get John O'Hurley to host.
