Nancy McKeon's 80s Hassle Hotline teen mag column - Sitcoms Online Message Boards

Anyone else who grew up in the 80's remember reading Nancy McKeon's Hassle Hotline column in teen mag 'Super Teen'?

lol... We got a lot of American teen mags here in Australia during the 80's, and I remember reading, and enjoying, Nancy's column at the time, since I was a big fan of hers... I've scanned one of her columns, which might bring back some memories for people out there who read/saw her column in the 80's, but may have forgotten about it since

lol...

Also, did anyone here ever buy/get a copy of a booklet by Nancy, called "Boys! Beauty! Popularity!", that was available through American teen mags in the 80's? ... I have an ad for it from an issue of 'Tiger Beat', but I don't remember ever seeing/having this booklet, and never see it around anywhere now...

Thanks for that scan. I started to become a fan of Nancy's in the late 80's so I missed all the 80's stuff on her in the mags. If you have anymore, I would love to read them!

I have a magazine from ebay that has one of nancy's hassle hotline articles in it. its really good. of course anything dealing with nancy mckeon is nothing short of amazing.

Well I never knew Nancy did articles like that. After reading that it makes me have even more respect for her, I just think Nancy is such a cool lady. And yeah if you or anyone else has any other articles on Nancy please post them

Hahaha, man... looking at all this stuff takes me back to the old days (5th grade). My first obsession was FOL/Nancy McKeon.

Seeing great articles like this I am really sorry that I didn't watch more of FOL when it first aired. I saw an episode or two when it aired on Saturday nights but I never truly got into it because I sort of looked at it as a girl's show. It wasn't until catching the reruns in December 2005 that I really got into the show. I think I really missed out not seeing more of the show in first run on NBC.

I'm really sad Nick @ Nite doesn't air it anymore. I used to tape all of the episodes when it was on. I loved it so much.

Besides for having the first three seasons on DVD, I also have about 70 episodes on tape. I'm still hoping that Sony gives us more DVDs though.

I guess I could purchase the dvd's... it just seems useless because I've seen every ep, not to mention I'm pretty sure I have a lot of them taped. I guess I would just like to see it on the air again.

Clothes look like Jo but the smile is almost too soft and the eyes too

I think the eyes and smile look like Jo, especially at that time. That's after her soft side came out.
