Default Things we learned from WKRP

Even though the Big Guy tends to hide behind his mama's skirts, he can (usually) be counted on to step up when the going gets really tough.

If you need fashion advice, DON'T go to Herb.

Never say "booger" on the air, unless you want to get fired. (Dr. Johnny Fever)

If you write a jingle and end up losing the sponsor before the commercial goes to air, don't throw it away! Rework the lyrics for when the next sponsor comes along. (The Ferryman's Funeral jingle episode)

Les will never learn how to properly pronounce Chi Chi Rodriguez (or learn what under par means).

Busty blond receptionists are WAY overpaid (Jennifer).

Always have a bandage handy in case Les runs out.

Nothing comes between Andy Travis and his tight jeans.

NEVER let Mr. Carlson in charge of promotions (aka "Turkeys Away").

NEVER get in the way of Bucky's union-approved lunch break.

Sometimes the shy, quiet girl in the office has the opinions and ideas that make the most sense (Bailey).

Always go to Venus Flytrap for love advice.

The Phone Cops know everything.

Always run and hide every time Mama Carlson shows up.

and...

Mama is always right. (Mother Carlson)

Contests can go wrong. (when they gave the money to the wrong guy)

Watch out for those Drinking Experiments . (Venus & Johnny)

Never do a remote at Del's.

Sometimes children never outgrow their toys (Mr. Carlson).

Being married doesn't stop awful salesmen from trying to pick up on the blond receptionist at work. (Herb)

Speed kills - Hold Up ("Speed kills Dell"- Johnny)

Tornados attack mobile homes first - Tornado
("And I think God must really hate mobile homes, Andy, cuz tornadoes always attack them first. They get very mobile." -Johnny)

You can't spray paint a frog (and have him live) - A Frog Story
("I didn't know Greenpeace, but I'm sure he was a fine frog. Hey, who's kidding who - he was a right-on frog! Well, I just wanted to say that, so try to hold up, be brave and keep being you"- Venus)

Alexander Graham Bell never had a phone - Three Days of the Condo
("What the hell, you know, I don't need a phone. Alexander Graham Bell never had one! "I just invent 'em," he said," I don't use 'em."- Johnny)

The sound system in Bucky's truck can send Del's entire store into the river.

Never let Herb dress as the station mascot (the carp)...unless, of course, you have enough dough to bail him, Les and Bailey out of jail.

Red Wigglers are the Cadillac of worms.

WKRP owes an on-air apology to Lawrence Welk.

Venus Flytrap shouldn't keep a gong so close to him while he's on the air.

Jennifer has a lot of things going for her, but most of all, her brain

Herb has exquiste taste in clothing. NOT!!

If you really want to cow a money totin preacher, hit him right between the eyes with a tax audit.

Lol

Les really, REALLY wants his own office.

Don't mess with Mama Carlson.

Never let Mr. Carlson plan station promotions and events.

Always, ALWAYS have enough change if you are using a pay toilet (dressed up in a fish suit).
