They only had that one big window near the back of the house. Actually, when you think about it, we never saw the other side of the house, which is actually where the studio audience is sitting, so maybe that's where the windows are. On "Facts of Life" the Eastland cafeteria and the house the girls lived in during the later seasons didn't really have any windows either...well they usually had one window in their bedrooms in both the house and the cafeteria. Usually on sitcoms they either have only one big window, or no windows at all.

they HAD to get rid of all the other windows - they didn't want any of the actors to JUMP.

I disagree Who's The Boss? Silver Spoons, Growing Pain and The Fresh Prince had plenty of Windows as a matter of you saw that Rick had 2 windows in his room

Actually, Arnold and Willis' bedroom did have a window though I think it was shown only once. In the series second episode "The Social Worker," the first scene has Mrs. Garrett going to the far left of the room to open the window with Arnold hiding behind the curtains to jump out and scare her.

Yeah but it's really hard to make what's out side the window look real.
