Default For the few out there who like the Scotland episode

It is on tomorrow, 4-3, on TVLAND. I won't be watching. The only episode I really didn't care for.

I think only two people cared for that episode. And one of them doesn't post here anymore.

I don't even watch TVland anymore.

I am one who also NEVER liked it, HOWEVER, i changed my tune when i saw that beautiful colorized version on the Bonus Disc of the New Boxed Set of the entire series. I defy anybody to look at it this way and not like it more. I found out they did this show because at the time, these big color spectacles like Peter Pan were playing on tv to great acclaim, so they did this one to show they could do that also. It's still in DRAFTED territory for me as a show, but i had to admit it looks sensational in brilliant color.

I think my opinion of the Scotland episode would change if I would see the colorized edition of it. I have ready various reports that Desilu wanted to film this episode in color, but the production cost was way too expensive. Too bad, because I do think this was the one episode that should have been filmed in color. But with modern technology, I guess it is in color now!

With that being said, I should say that I never really hated this episode, it just is not among my favorites.

I feel the same way. I never liked the Scotland episode until I saw it in color. I wish they'd colorize some good episodes. I'd love to see the Bill Holden or John Wayne episode in color.

Oh yeah, great idea, CBS should put out a ten best colorized episodes or something on DVD, as a test to see if people would buy the whole series in color eventually which i'm sure will be available some day, when CBS needs money from it's ILL cash cow.

I really enjoyed the music in the episode. I never saw it in color, though.
