Without a doubt, Tony and Angela. Although the final scene was nice, w/ Tony giving up his job in Iowa for her. But still, it would've been nice to see them make a formal commitment to each other. And I agree about Shirley/Carmine. That would've been too sweet.

That's why I find it hard to watch reruns of WTB , because we are denied that big payoff!

And the episode where Shirley wins the free wedding and then Carmine and her decide it isn't the right time......DA**!!

As far as WTB? goes, from what's known, ABC wanted Tony and Angela to get married on the series finale, but Tony Danza and Judith Light didn't agree. I remember them saying on a special that they didn't want it to end that way.

I remember being so disappointed finding out how L&S ended. That would have been perfect closure for Shirley and Carmine.

I remember them saying they were certainly okay with Tony and Angela getting together, but they didn't want the wedding.

Alex & Ellen - Family Ties (they married in real life, so that's even better)

Perfect indeed. The way Shirley was written off was horrible. One of the worst letdowns in television.

Regarding Dylan & Brenda, towards the end of the series, it was said that Dylan & Brenda were living together in England (or some European country), so I guess that's the closest they ever got to marriage.
