they got engaged on AITF, correct? There was an episode featuring their party IIRC. Then how come it took them so long to get married on The Jeffersons? Was it an issue of Lionel finishing school and getting established in his career?

That's a good question, but I'm thinking they got engaged on the Jeffersons because if you remember on AITF, a different actress played Jenny even though it was the same character so I'm thinking they just RE-ENGAGED THEM on the Jeffersons-lol

I just remember Zara Cully playing Mother Jefferson and getting very upset at Archie Bunker for referring to her as "George's little mammy."

That was hilarious. It was also the only time the Bunker's, the Willises, and the Jefferson's all appeared together.

Helen Willis was played by another actress here, was she not?
