Default What If?

Here's an interesting thought:

I was reading the "Did You Know?" thread, and something caught my eye:

"Nikki was going to be our "Kelly" in SBTB but Heather's mother wanted her to be paid as much as Mark-Paul so she didn't continue with the show."

That got me wondering:

What if she got that part?

What if they turned down Tiffani?

Maybe Kelly would not have become the heartthrob she became?

No tv producer can turn down a brunette with a nice smile and a big rack.

From what I understand, Nikki would have remained as herself if there was no salary dispute. Kelly would not have existed but since there was a dispute, Kelly came into the picture. Tiffani and Liz were so good that another character was created (Jessie) so that both actresses could participate on the show.

Actually, it starts later this year. 1988 is when the show was picked up by Disney with an NBC affiliation. Of course, it all started with Good Morning Miss Bliss. I am doing my little tribute to the show.

Interesting. I never knew about the money dispute. Some actors are simply not smart enough to properly negotiate and they end up paying for the consequences. She wanted to make as much as the star of the show? What a dweeb.

Why is Heather the dweeb? I thought that it was her mother that made the grave error. Was it Heather that was negotiating? Hmm. Either way I would have been pissed off if my mother screwed up my chances. At lease wait a year or two before making that demand. Get established first, then go in for the kill.

I didn't know about the money dispute, either. It strikes me as selfish when an actor/actress negotiates a contract with such high expectations. Suzanne Somers anybody?-LOL
