Default The idea for the CPR episode came from a 8 year old

Watched the NBC ep of this ep yesterday aired o 1/19/86 and from watching it I thought the 8 year old boy actually WROTE the ep-lol Punky, Cherie, and alan were playing hide and seek and cherie decides to hide inside a refrigerator and couldn't get out and was unscious inside the fridge and then punky does CPR on her and she starts breathing again. So cheesy-lol

BTW: the 8 year old boy who sent it the episode was thanked by the girl who played Punky before the episode started on NBC that sunday night

I remember this episode when it originally ran. The show had an episode writing contest for the Punky fans. I wished I had entered though.

My problem with this episode is the unrealistic part of cherie being inside a refrigerator for a long period of time. No one would have survived that in real life

Since it was snowing out, Cherries heart rate and breathing would have slowed down so thats prob how she would have been able to survive.

Wow, I never knew that, but then I was pretty young when the show originally aired. Cool idea!!

Of course, the winner, Jeremy Reeves, only came up with the idea for the episode to contain CPR. The actual content of the episode was written by series writer Stephanie Mathison.
