I know there's an area that talks about soap operas, but since my last attempte at a post there got only ONE response (Thank you, Mrgman), I'd like to post it in a place where there are many posters.

Also, it's about a topic I'd love to fet feedback on.

Who were favorite soap opera babes that you had the hots for from any era and why?

(It can be male or female- posters of both genders can contribute, BTW)

Mine were Lee Ann from One Life To Live and Billie from Days Of Our Lives from 1996-1999.

(If you know who played those characters, you'll know why they were the only soap operas I EVER had any interest in)

The first "soad opera crush" I had was India from "Guiding Light" in 1985.

In the summer of that year, Jill was shown on "Young and the Restless" laying beside a swimming pool in a swimsuit a lot!

In 1986, there was a new "Guiding Light" crush - the original Dinah, Jennifer Gatti! I kinda thought the writing was on the wall for someone else to play her when they said that Dinah, exotic as she looked, was the biological daughter of 2 WASPs. I thought it should've been Ramona, the other girl the carnival family "adopted". But anyway...

I had a thing for Samantha Marler as well.

Then in 2000 began my crushes, decades after-the-fact, on a few gals on 50's and 60's soap operas I ordered on tape. I'm gonna dodge tomatoes here - >ahemm< - I thought the original Meg on "Love of Life", Jean McBride, was HOT! There, I said it. I couldn't watch how she treated poor Beanie anymore after a while, so I had to end that. Then there was Susan on "Secret Storm"! They weren't all bad guys, though - I also thought Marge from "Search for Tomorrow" had it goin' on!
