Default Your Own TV Network - What would it be like?

If you had your own TV network, what would it be like? What would you call it? What kind of programming would it be and why? What would your schedule and primetime line-up include?

For my network, I wouLd call it RG-TV (Real Good TV). It would include a variety of programming from news to family comedies, classic television and a primetime line-up full of variety. I would introduce great family sitcoms like those of the 90's like Roseanne, The Fresh Prince, Blossom, etc. and would also have great dramas like the short-lived studio 60 on the sunset strip! My schedule would be something like this;

Quote:
6-9am - News
9am - 12am - Talk Shows
12-2pm - Children/Teen Programming
1-4pm - Dramas like 7th Heaven, Everwood and Summerland...
5-8pm - Great Syndicated comedies (Friends, Raymond, King of Queens, George Lopez, Reba, Two and a half men, etc.)
8-10pm - Primetime TV (NO REALITY GARBAGE)
10PM - 6am - Something similiar to Nick @ Nite including classic sitcoms like All in the Family and The Jeffersons as well as family sitcoms like boy meets world, full house, family matters, etc.
What would you Television network be like?

mines would be called the classic sitcoms and toons channel. it will have nothing but vintage and quality cartoon shows and sitcoms- my favourite tv genres- from the 50s up until the 2000s. no reality tv garbage, dramas, quiz shows for eg

the shows would range from different strokes, who's the boss?, the jeffersons, the cosby show, fresh prince of bel air, frasier, to name to cartoons such as alvin and the chipmunks, thundercats, hanna barbera, warner bros favourites and disney cartoon series such as duck tales, goof troop, darkwing duck, chip'n'dale etc

My network will be called the It's My Network And I'll Show What I Want and it will show TV series, cartoons, and documentaries banned from the networks due to political correctness uncut with no commercials plus original programing.

If I had my own television network, it would be named JBC and my schedule will consist of 15-20 animated sitcom and drama shows spread from Sunday through Friday, with movies on Saturday. I won't be showing any "classic" programming on my network, but I will be showing a 2-hour block in the afternoons. Pee-wee's Playhouse would be one of the shows on this block.

can't think of a catch name but it's pretty much like old school USA Network on Steriods (a mix of movies,off-network series, kids and teens programing, sports, and news that isn't fear mongering, sensationalized and biased

mine would be old shows. i may pick up a few originals but not go over board like these crazy "classic TV" networks are doing. A few things I would pick up: The Carol Burnett Show, All in the Family, The Facts if Life along with a few old cartoons and more old sitcoms, variety and game shows.
BTW, my network name would be B-TV (because my name is Brandon)

It would be called "S-TV" (scripted TV, no reality... ever!). It would have all of the great classics. Sitcoms and dramas... a little sci-fi. A lot shows that Nick @ Nite used to have back in '99-'01.

Over the years, I've come up with several. It's nearly impossible for me to just make a lineup of shows I like, or shows I think ought to be on TV. There's just wayyy too many and not enough time in the day. I like to make lineups based on things like era, genre, production, etc. I'll post some of the Monday-Friday lineups from a couple of the little networks I've created whenever I've had too much time on my hands...

Spelling TV - All Aaron Spelling, all the time. Everything from his classic crime dramas, to his long-running serials, his family dramas, and the star-studded fare...everything!
Monday-Friday
6am: "The Love Boat" (last night's episode)
7am: "Charlie's Angels" (last night's episode)
8am: "Dynasty" (last night's episode)
9am: "Melrose Place" (last night's episode)
10am: "The Mod Squad"
11am: "Starsky & Hutch"
12pm: "Hart to Hart"
1pm: "Sunset Beach"
2pm: "Beverly Hills 90210"
3pm: "Family"
4pm: "Fantasy Island"
5pm: "Hotel"
6pm: "The Love Boat"
7pm: "Charlie's Angels"
8pm: "Dynasty"
9pm: "Melrose Place"
10pm: "The Mod Squad" (today's episode)
11pm: "Starsky & Hutch" (today's episode)
12am: "Hart to Hart" (today's episode)
1am: "Sunset Beach" (today's episode)
2am: "Beverly Hills 90210" (today's episode)
3am: "Family" (today's episode)
