Madonna Says She Would Have Been An 'American Idol' Flop
Madonna is grateful she found fame before the age of American Idol, insisting she would have flopped as a contestant on the hit reality TV show. The singer started out as a stage musical wannabe, who was rejected time and time again before finding fame.
In an interview with New York radio station Z-100 FM, due to air on Friday, Madonna says, "I went to a lot of auditions for musical theatre and conventional mainstream things - and I always got cut immediately. That is amazing! Madonna got cut? I think her voice is incredible! I know she's not considered a "role model" by any means (she's been known to have a reputation, you know!), but I admire her honesty about being on American Idol. I wonder how many other singers would admit it!
I don't like "American Idol" at all, and to me it seems like you have to work harder to make it on your own like Madonna did. Andrea |

She's probably right. Simon would have treated her like crap on the show, because Madonna has always had amazing self-confidence along with her talent, something Simon doesn't take a shine to, or at least that's how it seems to me. He would have spent the majority of his time knocking her down until she was finally voted off the show. Sad, when you think about it...
