Does anyone know anything about the building that was used as the exterior of Laverne and Shirley's California residence?

From what was seen,it looked to be a two storey building.(Maybe a spanish stucco house converted into apartments.)

There was one thing inconsistent with the set interior.From the outside it appears obvious what window is the girls' apartment by Laverne's trademark letter L seen on the drapes.Only it appears on the opposite side of the building,as opposed to where the girls entered and exited their apartment through the front door.

I wonder if the building that was used as the exterior really was an apartment building in real life.

I am pretty sure it was just a stage lot. The scenes in the opening credits where the girls are riding the bike and also any exterior scene that you seen such as the episode where Laverne & Shirley visit Laverne's grandmother and end up doing that greasy poll contest, all that is on a stage lot.
