Default I Love The Ropers!

I finally got my hands on the complete series and I've seen 12 episodes now. I really like the show, maybe cause it's now a classic since both Audra and Norman have passed away. I like Ann, she's nice eye candy and makes a good friend for Helen. I think they should have given more screen time to David Brooks, he and Stanley had good chemistry. After seeing the episode where Helen wanted to adopt, but was told she and Stanley were too old. They could've given them an older child like a teen with an attitude so Stanley had someone to trade insults with, and they should have had a different neighbor instead of Jeffery P Brooks.

It's really good, isn't it? But the Brookes family makes the show, I think.

Who knows how much longer it could have or should have lasted. We've got 28 episodes, and at least the show wasn't run into the ground. One good thing about its having bad demographics back in the day....

It was no need for the kid to be on the show at all

I think he fit right in. I liked his serious face when his dad tries to make a joke, the kid looks at him like Jeffrey is crazy.

Jenny also reminded me of April Rush, Henry's niece on Too Close for Comfort!

Yeah, without Patty McCormack I wouldn´t still be a fan! She has done quite a bit after The Ropers, too.
